Golf Festival - Sat April 26th 2008

Following the "Tri-Golf" Junior programme with local primary schools a "Golf Festival" is scheduled for the children to experience variuos golf activities. After the festival they have the opportunity to join the Mottram "Tigers" programme that will run throughout the summer.

There are limited numbers of places available (maximum 8 per class) In the Summer they are typically held on:

Wednesday's - 4.00-5.00pm & 5.00-6.00pm 

Saturday's 11.00-12.00am, 12.00-1.00pm, 1.00-2.00pm, 2.00-3.00pm, 3.00-4.00pm & 4.00-5.00pm

Sunday's 11.00-12.00am & 12.00-1.00pm

At the end of the 8 weeks they can put what they have learn't into practise with a optional "Par 3" course challenge held at the Adlington Golf Centre near Poynton.

In the Winter months a reduced schedule is run subject to weather conditions.

AN EVENING OF EDUCATIONAL ENTERTAINMENT with DR KARL MORRIS PhD

Dr Karl Morris - PGA Professional & Sports Psychologist delivered a superb "Inner Game Workshop" at De Vere Mottram Hall on Wednesday April 18th that was attended by PGA Professionals, members and guests totalling 45 people. Working with sportsmen and women from many different fields he related techniques, methods and games employed used with golfers such as Ryder Cup stars Darren Clarke & Paul McGinley along with other top players.

The methods discussed could be used to just as good effect by the average club golfer. Examples of practise games and thought chains were highlighted to identify the most common causes of poor performance and how to introduce change to improve.

The evening was interactive, entertaining & informative and Karl was given a rapturous round of applause upon the conclusion of his speech.
